'Naidu in frustration, deserves mental treatment'

Actress-turned-politician and YSR Congress party MLA from Nagari constituency R K Roja, who has been maintaining a low profile for quite some time, was back at her best on Friday in attacking Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to reports, Roja fired at Naidu for his outburst against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government and the state election commission on the ongoing elections to some municipalities in the state.

Reacting to Naidu’s comment that the state election commission was acting as per the directions of the Jagan government in announcing the nomination dates, the actress-turned-MLA wondered how the state government was concerned with the SEC decisions.

“It is very clear that Naidu is in deep frustration as he is certain that the TDP would face debacles even in the present municipal elections. He doesn’t know what he is talking about. I think he should be immediately sent to mental hospital for treatment,” Roja said.

She pointed out how Naidu had supported the decisions of the SEC during the regime of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and why he was opposing the present decisions of the SEC.

“Everybody knows why he was supporting Nimmagadda. Just like Narakasura was killed by Lord Krishna in the past, the voters of the state defeated Narasura in the local body elections. Yet, he has not learnt a lesson,” she said.

Roja said while Naidu had not fulfilled even a single promise he had made to the people despite indulging in huge borrowings, Jagan has been implementing all the promises he had made in his manifesto and has established a welfare state.

“Naidu is not able to tolerate this welfare-oriented government. At least now, he should learn to behave as a responsible opposition leader,” she criticised.
