Naidu gives Rs 160 cr land for Rs 20 cr in Amaravathi!

TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu continues to dole out valuable lands in Amaravathi for dirt cheap rates to his henchmen.

Having realised that Election Commission will release notification for AP Assembly polls in a week or so and he cannot make any more fresh land allotments thereafter due to election code of conduct, Naidu has been rushing to release GOs (government orders) to distribute valuable land to his supporters like peanuts.

In the latest instance, Naidu issued orders allotting 40 acres to Soctronics, a chip manufacturing company, in Amaravathi, for just Rs 20 crore.

Shockingly, the government prescribed market value of land itself is Rs 4 crore per acre in Amaravathi though it fetches even more than Rs 4 crore in actual land transaction. But Naidu fixed the price at just Rs 50 lakh per acre.

Even, as per government prescribed rate of Rs 4 crore per acre, this land parcel should fetch Rs 160 crore to state government.

But Naidu allotted this land for just Rs 20 crore which resulted in looting of public money by Rs 140 crore.

Even a global software giant like Microsoft has set up its campus in Hyderabad in just 54 acres.

But a little known company like Soctronics, which operates from just a four-storeyed building in Srinagar colony in Hyderabad was given 40 acres of valuable land.

Moreover, the company applied for land to set up chip designing industry in Amaravathi only two months ago. But due to 'close links' with Naidu, the company management could secure land on a war footing.

Now, this is anybody's easy guess over what one would get in return if a land worth Rs 160 crore is allotted for just Rs 20 crore.

Not only this, Naidu even doled out bumper offer to this company. Naidu issued orders giving complete rights to  this company to sell off this land or lease out to anyone of their choice in future.

Naidu did not stop with this. He also approved incentives worth another Rs 250 crore under TDP government's electronic policy (2014-20) in the form of exempting various taxes, land conversion charges etc.

Now, people can only wish "God save AP" from this gross favouritism, misuse of power and looting of public money.
