Naidu gets chance to run down KCR!

The major bungling in the conduct of Intermediate Public Examinations and declaration of results has brought a very bad name to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government headed by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

And expectedly, it has given the much-needed opportunity to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to take a dig at the former.

When the controversy over the goof-up in Intermediate examination results surfaced leading to a spate of suicides by students, Naidu confined himself to making an appeal through his twitter asking the students not to lose heart and resort to extreme steps.

But on Thursday, he chose to make a critical attack on KCR for failing to conduct the Intermediate examinations properly.

“A person who is claiming to give a new direction to the country in administration has failed to conduct even a simple examination. Had there been any such lapse in AP, the opposition would have pounced upon me,” Naidu said.

The TDP president wondered why the Election Commission had remained silent to a series of official meetings being conducted by the Telangana government, while it issued notices to the TDP government for reviewing the progress of Polavaram and Amaravati works.

“Nobody will open their mouths in Telangana when KCR conducts review meetings with officials but we do the same in AP, they are creating a big issue,” he criticized.

He said only those officials who were on election duty would come under the purview of the Election Commission and others would have to work under the state government.

“We have to work within our limits. If EC tries to cross its limits and interferes in day-to-day administration, there will be disorder,” Naidu said.

The chief minister accused EC of creating a rift among the officials.

“In the last five years, all the officials had cooperated with the government and the state had come to no. 1 in position in several aspects only because of officails. Now, with the EC interfering in the administrative matters, there is a chaos,” he alleged.
