Naidu desperate to prove he is still young and fit!

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to be desperate to prove to the people of the state that he is still agile, fit as fiddle and even young, not only mentally, but also physically.

It was evident from the way the TDP chief, who turns 73 and will enter 74th year in April this year, climbed up the ladder of his caravan bus to reach the top from where he addressed the people at Gudipalli in Kuppam assembly constituency in Chittoor district.

It was a sort of risky feat for Naidu at this age; which other leaders of his party like K Atchennaidu, might not dare attempt. But the TDP chief has done it, as he wants to take any kind of risk to come to power at any cost.

The TDP leaders extensively circulated among the media and social media groups the videos and photographs of Naidu quickly ascending ladder of the bus and got into the top to address the people, in protest against the obstructions created by the police during his visit.

The TDP chief also walked into the villages to reach out to the people, when the police denied him the campaign vehicle. At times, he even squatted on the road for hours in protest against the police restrictions.

Apparently, Naidu is trying to rebut the criticism in the social media that he is getting old and his time is up; so, there is no point in giving him power again.

He wants to disprove the theory being spread by his political rivals that if elected, he would hand over the power to his son Lokesh Naidu, who is unfit to lead the state.

One won’t be surprised if Naidu resorts to takes more and more such feats – even it requires climbing trees or hanging on to cranes in the coming days!
