As all the attempts by Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to secure bail in the skill development corporation scam case and come out of the Rajahmundry central jail on bail have met the dead end, the TDP is now using its final weapon to bring him out.
So, for the last two days, the TDP leaders and Naidu’s family have started raising concern over the health condition of Naidu.
First, his wife Bhuvaneshwari quoted Naidu of complaining about dehydration and excessive heat in the jail.
But the jail authorities issued a statement that Naidu is absolutely fine and there were no signs of any dehydration, since he is accessible to home food and drinking water.
There are many other prisoners like Naidu who have been provided with same facilities and there was no complaint from anybody.
Since Thursday, the TDP leaders are complaining about rashes and skin allergy to Naidu. He has already been suffering from vitiligo and so, he cannot tolerate peculiar weather in the jail due to heavy temperatures and humidity.
He informed the prison authorities about his problem and Jail superintendent Rajakumar sent in a dermatologist to treat Naidu.
As per her report, the official wrote a letter to the Government General Hospital, urging it to send experts to treat the TD chief.
Assistant professors of dermatology in the hospital -- Suryanarayana and Suneetha -- were asked to do the treatment. Dr Harika, who is a dermatologist, has recommended medicines and lotion for the skin allergy.
The doctors examined Naidu and prescribed medicines. Rajkumar said Chandrababu’s health condition was stable.
"Chandrababu Naidu’s physical activity is good and his lungs are very clear and he has a blood pressure of 140/80. There is no need to worry about his health," jail superintendent added.
Naidu has been suffering from dehydration for the past two days. “As usual, he took food. Now, there has been no health issue,” he asserted.
Yet, the TDP leaders have chosen to make it a big issue, as if Naidu’s health condition is deteriorating. Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh went to the extent of alleging that there is an undeniable and immediate threat to his father's life.
“He is being deliberately harmed. His safety is unquestionably at risk. CBN is facing a dire situation, ling with mosquitoes, contaminated water, weight loss, infections, and allergies, all without access to timely medical assistance,” he said.
He also alleged that the Jagan government is trying to administer steroids to him.
“What is it that the Government doctors and administration are trying to hide? If any harm befalls @ncbn garu, @ysjagan will be responsible,” he threatened.
The party is now planning a major agitation alleging threat to Naidu’s life!
