Mukesh Meeting Jagan, A Slap On Caste Media

The caste media in Andhra Pradesh and the caste politics are running a campaign that industrialists are running away form the State due to fear of facing Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

A story was planed in Reuters some time back that Kia Motors in Ananthapur is leaving Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP and the media have claimed that Kia had come to AP only because of Chandrababu Naidu and it is now leaving the state because of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The caste media had launched a campaign to create an impression that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime starting driving away the investors from the State.

But these rumors were proved wrong when Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani met Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Ambani was closeted with Jagan for nearly two hours and the two leaders have reportedly discussed about the Reliance being partner to some of the State government’s programmes like Naadu-Nedu and skill training centers.

Ambani had met Chandrababu Naidu several times in the past. He met Naidu in Amaravati, just before the 2019 Assembly elections too. But the Reliance Group had not invested in a single rupee in the State during the last five years.

Now Ambani’s meeting with Jagan is a clear indication that Reliance is set to be partner in AP in the years to come.

A small intervention of the Reliance will help the State government to move forward in its programmes like Naadu-Nedu or skill training, if not big investments.

Big investments are also not ruled out from Ambani, if their political and industry interests are protected by each other.

If Mukesh Ambani comes up with an investment plan in the State or have a package to partner with the state government in one programme or the other, given its expertise, it would certainly be a slap on the face of the media which is campaigning against Jagan Mohan Reddy.
