Telugu Desam Party leaders and even those from alliance partners – Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party – who have been eagerly waiting for the filling up of nominated posts, will have to wait for another five months.
TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday announced that all nominated positions in the government will be filled by June.
There are 214 market committees and 1,100 trust boards, and these appointments will be completed in the coming days, he stated.
He emphasized that party leaders should encourage those who have been loyal to the party for a long time, rather than those who recently joined from other parties.
He said it is the responsibility of MLAs to ensure that such loyal members are rewarded with positions.
Naidu held a teleconference with key party leaders, MLAs, MPs, ministers, and party in-charges, where he reviewed the performance of individuals who have held positions for the past two years. Based on their performance, future opportunities will be determined.
He urged MLAs to send proper recommendations for the appointment of members to agricultural market committees and temple committees.
He added that those aspiring for positions in market committees or temple committees should be active as members in cubes (clusters, units, booths, or sections).
Naidu assured justice to hardworking party workers by allocating nominated positions fairly.
He discussed government programs, party affairs, and the performance of leaders during the teleconference, urging all members to work effectively to ensure victory in the 2029 elections.
Highlighting the government's development schemes and initiatives, he instructed party leaders to communicate them to the public continuously.
He also emphasized countering false propaganda by the YSRCP and reiterated the party's commitment to fulfilling election promises.
