More leaders begin deserting Pawan Kalyan

The indecisiveness of actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan on building up the party and taking up a concrete action plan is leading to leaders deserting the party one after the other.

Latest in the series of desertions from Jana Sena Party is former Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Akula Satyanarayna from Rajahmundry.

This prominent Kapu leader from East Godavari district quit the BJP and joined the Jana Sena just before the recent Lok Sabha elections.

He contested from Rajahmundry parliamentary constituency only to lose his deposit.

After the elections, Akula had been continuing in the party but had been disgusted with Pawan Kalyan for not coming out with any strategy to build the party and decided that he cannot keep inactive for a long time.

So, on Friday, he resigned from Jana Sena and is all set to join the YSR Congress party.

He is learnt to have got the green signal from YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Similarly, another senior leader and former IAS officer Chintala Parthasarthy has also called it quits to Jana Sena, alleging that there are serious flaws in the organisational structure of the party and Pawan Kalyan alone should be held responsible for this sorry state of affairs.

Parthasarathy contested as Jana Sena candidate from Anakapalle parliamentary constituency in the recent elections. He is most likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Already, former minister Ravela Kishore Babu from Prathipadu in Guntur district, who defected from TDP to Jana Sena last year, has quit the Jana Sena and jumped into the BJP a couple of months ago.

It is learnt, more defections are in the offing from Jana Sena into the BJP and YSRC shortly.
