Nobody knows better than Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how to attract the attention of the people and of course, social media and mainstream media during the public gathering.
Modi knows that camera persons are ready to capture his every moment and how the images would go into the people, which would enhance his image in public.
He did it exactly the same during the swearing-in ceremony of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at Kesarapalli near Gannavaram on Wednesday.
Soon after Naidu took the oath of office and secrecy as the chief minister in his typical style, he came to Modi to shake his hands.
The Prime Minister offered him a bouquet and when Naidu tried to touch his feet, Modi prevented him and gave him a solid hug.
He patted on Naidu back and wished him all the best, amidst thunderous applause from the TDP workers and people who gathered there in large numbers.
It was an emotional scene for Naidu’s family members. Of course, Modi did not forget to present a photo-op for the camera persons.
After Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan took his oath, too, Modi repeated the act and hugged the power star.
What caught the attention of the audience evoking thunderous applause was the way Pawan Kalyan touched the feet of his elder brother and megastar Chiranjeevi.
After the completion of swearing-in ceremony, too, Modi went to every dignitary on the dais and wished them, much to the delight of crowed. He posed for photographs along with Pawan Kalyan and Naidu.
When he came to greet Chiranjeevi, Modi once again played to the gallery. Knowing the craze Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan had among the people, the Prime Minister called both of them to his either side and raised their hands to greet the people.
It was a scene that evoked loud cheers from the crowds. Pawan’s wife Anna Lezhnova was seen capturing the moment on her mobile.
Later, he shook hands with Rajinikanth, his wife Latha and Nandamuri Balakrishna and greeted them. Needless to say, it was a feast for the photographers!
