One of the most non-controversial leaders in the Nara Chandrababu Naidu cabinet is Jana Sena Party leader and state civil supplies minister Nadendla Manohar. There have hardly been any complaints against Nadendla till now.
However, retired bureaucrat and presently Aam Admi Party leader P V S Sarma has a complaint with Nadendla. He found fault with the civil supplies minister for conducting surprise checks on the ration shops.
Taking to X, Sarma tweeted: “This minister goes around small shops to throw his weight around. Technically, he is NOT authorised to enter any premises without a warrant. It’s illegal. Hope the AP CM @ncbn takes note of this unconstitutional behaviour. @PawanKalyan @mnadendla.”
What angered the retired IAS officer was the way Nadendla has been inspecting ration shops and unearthing irregularities in the supply of rice and other essential commodities. This has created a sort of panic among the ration shop dealers.
Sarma says though there is nothing wrong in finding out the irregularities in the supply of ration, it is not correct on the part of the minister to create terror among the ration shop dealers.
According to him, the raids by Nadendla on ration shops amounts to trespassing and he cannot enter any shop without a warrant.
“Technically, the minister is at fault and it is unconstitutional,” he said.
