Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu is currently in jail, and during this period, Nara Lokesh, his son and TDP General Secretary, held a press conference.
During the conference, a journalist inquired about who would support Lokesh in leading the party in the absence of Chandrababu Naidu.
In response, Lokesh could have showcased the efficient leaders and party members surrounding him, expressing confidence in their ability to fight for justice.
However, to the surprise of many, he mentioned his brother, Pawan Kalyan, as his support. This response displayed a level of ignorance on Lokesh's part.
Instead of bolstering the morale of his party cadre and giving them due importance, he highlighted Pawan Kalyan, who lacks a dedicated cadre in his Janasena party.
This choice of words by Lokesh undermined TDP leaders, making them feel less important compared to Pawan Kalyan within the party.
It's worth noting that, for some time, members of the YCP had been referring to Pawan Kalyan as "Chandrababu's 'dattaputrudu'" (adopted son). Now, Lokesh's reference to Pawan as "anna" (brother) has given credence to this perception.
