Maverick Tollywood comedian-turned-politician Posani Krishna Murali is infamous for leveling sensational allegations against his political rivals, particularly Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.
Posani, a staunch follower of YSR Congress party president and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, is known for hurling wild accusations against his adversaries and attacking them with scathing remarks and abrasive dialogues. These allegations often serve as fodder for the media, regardless of whether they hold any substance.
On Monday, Posani made a startling revelation regarding the recent stone pelting incident aimed at Jagan Mohan Reddy. He alleged that the TDP leadership had plotted to assassinate renowned director Ram Gopal Varma.
"I haven't disclosed this to Ram Gopal Varma yet, but I have solid information about the plan to eliminate him. The scheme was devised by veteran journalist I Venkat Rao's son Anil, and I learned about it through some Kamma sources close to the TDP," he claimed.
Posani asserted that Anil had shared his plan with Rajesh Kilaru, who subsequently discussed it with Naidu's son, Nara Lokesh. Allegedly, even Lokesh gave his approval to eliminate RGV. However, when the matter was brought to Naidu's attention, he vetoed the plan.
"Naidu stated that RGV is a deranged individual, and the TDP wouldn't gain anything by killing him. Therefore, he instructed Lokesh and others to abandon the plan. I am grateful to Naidu for sparing Varma from a potential assassination," Posani stated.
However, Posani alleged that Naidu possessed a criminal mindset and wouldn't hesitate to eliminate his rivals if deemed necessary.
"Sometimes, I am fearful of his intentions. This was evident from the attempted murder of Jagan," he remarked.
"I don't mind if you eliminate me. But please, for god's sake, don't attempt on Jagan's life, who is a man of the people. His death would be akin to killing five crore people," he pleaded.
Posani also criticized Pawan Kalyan for making derogatory remarks against Jagan regarding the latter's reference to the former's multiple marriages.
"Pawan Kalyan took offense when Jagan mentioned his four wives. Yes, you indeed have not three, but four wives. In fact, you have a fifth wife on the waiting list," he alleged.
Posani claimed to have his own sources in the film industry to substantiate Pawan Kalyan's alleged fourth and fifth marriages.
"What's wrong with calling a wife 'pellam'? Haven't you made disparaging comments about women in the past?" he questioned.
