Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh, who appears to be under the impression that he would get popularity by foul-mouthing YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has paid penalty for the same.
On Saturday, the Guntur District Review Committee passed a resolution banning Lokesh from attending the committee meetings hereafter.
By virtue of being a member of Andhra Pradesh legislative council, the TDP general secretary can attend the DRC meetings to raise the issues pertaining to the ditrict.
However, the committee took serious note of Lokesh’s abusive comments against Jagan Mohan Reddy. Especially, the committee strongly objected to Lokesh calling Jagan a “psycho.”
The members of the DRC discussed the issue and condemned the comments and said it was derogatory to call the chief minister a psycho.
Later, YSRC MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy passed a resolution, imposing a ban on Lokesh from attending the DRC meetings. Majority members endorsed the resolution.
The meeting was attended by district in-charge minister Ranganath Raju, ministers Mekathoti Sucharitha and Mopidevi Venkatramana, besides MLAs and MLCs from the district.
