Kodali lobbying to bring Vangaveeti into YSRC?

The latest meeting of prominent Kapu leader and former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna with YSR Congress party leader and Andhra Pradesh civil supplies minister Kodali Venkateshwar Rao alias Nani and Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has once again triggered speculations about his return to YSR Congress party.

In fact, Radha has been a close friend of Kodali and Vallabhaneni, though he has been continuing in the Telugu Desam Party as of now.

Radha has not been very active in the TDP, but has been periodically denying the reports that he would be changing the party.

Yet, the speculations have not subsided. So, after the Sunday’s meeting of the three leaders at the death anniversary of Radha’s father Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga triggered fresh speculations.

According to these reports, Kodali is learnt to have requested Radha to return to the YSRC, but the latter put a condition that he would consider it only if he is assured of the party ticket from Vijayawada central assembly constituency.

It was only after he was denied the ticket last time that Radha had left the YSRC to jump into the TDP. YSRC president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy gave the ticket to senior leader Malladi Vishnu.

Now, Radha is reportedly asking for the same ticket as a precondition to joining the YSRC. Though Kodali knows that it is not so easy, he has reportedly promised Radha that he would convince Jagan for the ticket.

Describing Radha as his younger brother, Kodali said the former had joined the TDP without aspiring for any posts, though he was offered an MLC seat.

“He is pure gold. But gold as such cannot be made into ornaments unless it is mixed with copper. So, if Radha, too, compromises to some extent, he would have great future,” the minister said.
