KCR Endorses Jagan's Statement!

KCR Endorses Jagan's Statement!

When YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said the other day that one has to learn to live with the Coronavirus by taking enough precautions, his political detractors pulled up him with strongest words.

In fact, Jagan was trying to convey a sincere message to the people that the Corona virus is going to stay in the world for a long time to time and there was no way one can expect that the virus would disappear in the next few days or weeks.

“It can affect anybody including me. But if we are strong enough and develop immunity, it will go away on its own like any fever or cold. What we need to realise is that we have to learn to live with Corona virus by taking enough precautions so that it does not spread to others, particularly vulnerable and sick people,” he said.

Opposition Telugu Desam Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Jana Sena Party accused Jagan of throwing up his hands in containing the virus and hence, asking the people to live with the virus.

But on Tuesday night, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, too, made the same statement, virtually endorsing Jagan’s view point. Speaking to reporters, KCR said Corona virus is not going to disappear in a day or two.

“It is an invisible enemy which cannot be defeated overnight. People have to learn to live with it. We have protected ourselves by observing lockdown all these days and we need to continue this for some more time. If we are clever enough, we can overcome this crisis,” KCR said.

In fact, several others, including Infosys chairman Narayana Murthy, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Kerala CM P Vijayan also said the same thing. So, what do the Andhra opposition leaders say now?
