Kapu leader hurt with YSRC attack on Raju!

One can understand the statement of Kshtriya community issued the other day, condemning the attack of YSR Congress party leaders against former Union minister and senior Telugu Desam Party leader P Ashok Gajapathi Raju with regard to MANSAS trust issue.

But surprisingly, Kapu strongman and former minister Mudragada Padmanbham came in defence of Ashok Gajapathi Raju and found fault with the YSRC leaders for launching a tirade against the former Union minister.

A couple of days ago, Mudragada wrote a letter to YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, taking exception to the YSRC leaders casting aspersions on Ashok Gajapathi Raju, thereby hurting the feelings of entire Kshatriya community.

He said Ashok Gajapati Raju, who belonged to the clan of erstwhile rulers of Vizianagaram, had an unblemished record and character and the comments against him were uncalled for.

On Thursday, Mudragada wrote another letter to Jagan with just a picture of Ashok Gajapathi Raju being honoured by senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani, to prove that the TDP leader was respected by everybody.

“This is my last letter. And I don’t write any letter to the chief minister hereafter,” he said.

In his earlier letter, Mudragada found fault with the statement of YSRC general secretary and MP V Vijay Sai Reddy that Ashok would be sent to jail soon.

“It has hurt the sentiments of Kshatriya community in both the Telugu states,” he said.

Recalling that Ashok Gajapati Raju's family enjoys greatest reputation among the people for their charity and service, he said the Raju's family had contributed a lot for the development of the state and donated thousands of acres to the temples, educational institutions.

“Casting aspersions and corruption charges against him would in no way further the interest of the ruling party,” he remarked.
