Perhaps for the first time, Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana has made a comment in appreciation of YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Kanna tweeted this morning hailing the decision of Jagan Mohan Reddy government renaming the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme as YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan Yojana, under which Rs 13,500 will be given to each farmer in the state, including Rs 6,000 being given by the Centre under PM Kisan Yojana, towards crop investment.
The Jagan government also included the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the advertisement given to the media for the launch of the scheme.
Perhaps, this is for the first time that the state government had ever used PM’s picture in the scheme being implemented by the state.
It never happened during the Telugu Desam Party regime, when the government had virtually hijacked all the central schemes and used Chandrababu Naidu’s sticker.
Kanna, however, indirectly sought to indicate that the crop investment scheme is a central scheme and not an original scheme of Jagan.
He said he was glad that Jagan government has given a matching grant to the Central scheme to implement it in the state in the name of YSR Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme.
He demanded that all the centrally-sponsored schemes being implemented in the state should follow the same procedure with Prime Minister’s picture and his name attached to all such schemes.
