Young Tollywood hero Junior N T Rama Rao will certainly come into Andhra Pradesh politics soon but it is not sure whether he would take over the TDP or float a new party of his own.
This was revealed by NTR’s close friend and Andhra Pradesh civil services minister Kodali Venkateshwar Rao alias Nani in an interview to a media house.
Stating that Junior NTR has a great future in politics, Nani said he would stage a comeback into politics at an appropriate time.
“At present, he is still young and there is a long way to go for him to come into politics. It all depends on the developments in the state politics in the coming days,” the YSRC leader said.
He said whether Jr NTR would take over the reins of the TDP or float a new political party would depend on the situation prevailing at that point of time. But he hinted that the chances of NTR floating a new party would be more, if the TDP continued to be in the hands of the Chandrababu Naidu and his family.
Nani, however, said even if Jr NTR comes into politics, he would have to struggle a lot.
“He would become a good leader if he responds to the issues concerning the people. He has to strive a lot in winning the people’s confidence,” he said.
Stating that the TDP had no future as long as Chandrababu Naidu continued as the party president and Lokesh was projected as the future leader, the YSRC minister said the TDP ranks themselves would defeat the party miserably, because they know the father-son duo would not allow Jr NTR to grow politically.
“If Lokesh has any dreams of winning the assembly seat, he would have to fight the elections under the leadership of Jr NTR,” Nani observed.
