Maverick former MP from Anantapur and senior TDP leader J C Diwakar Reddy said he would not surrender to YSRCP president and CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy come what may, even if the latter closes down all his business activities.
“It is pretty evident that the Jagan government has been personally targeting me and my family. He is attacking my financial roots. But I am not afraid of him and will not surrender to his pressure tactics. I will survive by taking to agriculture for my livelihood,” Diwakar Reddy said.
The TDP leader said Jagan was thinking of wooing the people with his welfare schemes, thereby garnering their votes spending public money.
He stopped thinking about development of the state, Diwakar Reddy said, while speaking to reporters at Machireddypalli village of Valluru block in Kadapa district.
Meanwhile, JC brothers landed in yet another trouble.
A person by name Mallikarjun, along with his family members, staged a dharna in front of JC Travels office in Anantapur alleging that the JC brothers had occupied his building.
He said he had given his building on lease to Babaiah in 2009 and it was in turn leased out to Diwakar Travels. Since then, the JC brothers have not been paying any rent to Mallikarjun and whenever he approached them, they threatened to kill him.
He demanded that JC brothers vacate building and pay him all the rent arrears pending for the last 11 years.
