It has been a long time since one has heard anything from otherwise aggressive and loud-mouth JC brothers – former Anantapur MP J C Diwakar Reddy and former MLA J C Prabhakar Reddy.
Especially after Prabhakar Reddy got elected as the chairman of Tadipatri municipality, both the brothers have gone into silent mode.
In fact, Prabhakar Reddy credited his election as the municipal chairman to Jagan, saying it would not have been possible, if the chief minister really wanted to stall his chances.
Both the brothers have not been coming up before the media.
While Diwakar Reddy is said to be spending most of his time in his orchards, Prabhakar Reddy appears in Tadipatri now and then, but the fireworks from him were missing.
However, on Monday, Prabhakar Reddy came up with a surprising statement in support of Jagan’s father and former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.
Stating that YSR was his favourite and beloved leader, Prabhakar Reddy fumed at the ministers of the state cabinet for their subdued reaction when Telangana ministers were abusing YSR with choicest words.
“How can the Telangana ministers call a gentleman like YSR as a demon and a betrayer of Telangana? It is not correct on their part to abuse a departed leader. And what are our Andhra ministers are doing? Have they sported bangles?” the Tadipatri municipal chairman asked.
He said nobody was a settler in Hyderabad. “My children were born and brought up in Hyderabad. They studied there. People from Andhra and Rayalaseema go to Hyderabad for shopping,” he pointed out.
