Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former MLA of Tadipatri J C Prabhakar Reddy, who is known for calling spade a spade, has virtually thrown a bombshell on the party by alleging that his own followers in the TDP were indulging in illegal sand mining.
In a video statement on Tuesday, JC brother expressed his concerns over the alleged rampant illegal sand mining and transportation in his constituency.
He said around 25 TDP leaders among his followers were involved in illegal sand mining activities in Tadipatri.
Stating that these persons were in fact very close to him, JC urged them not to distance themselves from him by engaging in such unlawful activities.
He warned that those involved in the illicit transport of sand, emphasizing that he does not want such activities occurring under his watch.
"Stop this work, I don't want sand smuggling in my constituency," he asserted. '
He said while he is open to supporting individuals in other endeavours, he firmly opposes any involvement in illegal sand activities.
He reminded that during the previous YSRCP regime, he had fought against illegal sand mining in Tadipatri and even gone to the National Green Tribunal.
He asked his followers not to involve in illegal things and asked them not to leave him.
