After keeping silent for a few months, maverick Telangana Congress leader and Sangareddy MLA Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy is back to his old game of targeting the Pradesh Congress Committee leadership.
On Tuesday, Jagga Reddy dropped enough hints that he might not continue in the party for long, as he was terribly upset with the party leadership for unleashing a negative campaign against him.
He lashed out at the PCC leadership, without naming its chief A Revanth Reddy, for engineering a negative campaign against him on social media.
“It is unfortunate that our own party leaders have been spreading canards against me and others,” he said.
Stating that he had never seen such unfortunate developments in the Congress party, Jagga Reddy said he had been facing a negative campaign against me saying he was shifting loyalties to other party.
“I have been struggling hard for the party; yet, I am being targeted by the leadership,” he said.
He said he cannot say whether there is unity among the leaders in the Telangana Congress party.
“I am not competent to make any comments on it. Even if I know, I don’t want to tell,” he said.
Jagga Reddy said he was called by party top leadership to Delhi to discuss the party strategies.
“I will explain everything to Rahul Gandhi about the goings on in the state Congress,” he said.
Interestingly, former PCC president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy also made similar comments in Delhi on Monday. He alleged that a section of the party leaders was campaigning on social media that he won’t stay in the party for long.
“Unfortunately, Revanth Reddy gave important posts to such people,” he criticised.
