During a recent review of MLA performances, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also conducted a review with YSRC regional coordinators to discuss ways to strengthen the party in preparation for the upcoming 2024 elections.
Reddy asked the coordinators to address internal issues and dissidence within the party by talking to every MLA and meeting with them frequently.
He emphasized that it is the coordinators' responsibility to strengthen the party's base in their assigned districts and to ensure that all candidates receive good majorities.
The CM said, “Elections are only a year away. You should take ownership of the party as its regional coordinators of the party. It is your responsibility to strengthen the party’s base in the districts assigned to you.
If there are deficiencies anywhere, they should be corrected and everyone should be brought together. Ultimately our candidates should get good majorities. With that goal in mind you must work with determination.
As party coordinators, you can discuss anything with me and you can meet me anytime. You are the top team for me in terms of party. There is a fine mechanism under the secretariat system in the form of conveners, housemasters (Gruha Saradhis) etc. Hence, volunteers should be attached with them.
Take responsibility for supervision and coordination so that all those programmes are run smoothly and efficiently in the respective constituencies. You, me, the entire party apparatus must move forward together.”
Additionally, Reddy asked the coordinators to ensure the smooth performance of the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyattu-Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan mass interaction programme and to address any differences between MLAs and other leaders in constituencies.
He also requested that the coordinators focus on YSRC welfare scheme beneficiaries as they are the deciding factors in the coming elections.
Reddy asserted the need to activate the social media army and to take measures to counter the fake news, lies, and allegations of the opposition parties.
He asked the coordinators to visit their respective districts and to take party activities and government welfare through MLAs, leaders, and cadres into the masses towards winning the Big Battle 2024.
Notably, Reddy addressed the internal issues in the party and the revolts of four legislators against the party. He asked the coordinators not to neglect internal issues in preparation for the upcoming elections.
Regional coordinators Botsa Satyanarayana, Y.V. Subba Reddy, P.V. Midhun Reddy, Marri Rajsekhar, and others participated in the meeting.
