YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is reportedly planning to give the party a fresh new look by promoting young leaders to key positions while gradually sidelining senior leaders he believes have been misguiding the party.
According to party sources, Jagan is preparing for statewide tours aimed at regaining lost ground amid rising public dissatisfaction with the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government.
As part of this effort, he is said to be considering a major reshuffle of the party’s organizational structure.
In the first move under this strategy, Jagan appointed Byreddy Siddharth Reddy, a young leader with a strong youth following, as Working President of the YSRCP Youth Wing.
Hailing from Kurnool district, Siddharth Reddy has been actively involved with the party even during its tenure in power.
He previously served as Chairman of the State Advisory Panel (SAP) and has played a prominent role in party activities at the district level.
When the TDP-led government announced a probe into the Aadudam Andhra programme from the YSRCP era, Siddharth Reddy responded firmly to the allegations.
He is currently touring various districts, targeting the coalition government and defending Jagan’s leadership.
Recognizing his appeal among the youth, Jagan has entrusted him with the task of mobilizing young supporters and monitoring the implementation of party promises, with the authority to take appropriate political action where necessary.
Known for his strong oratory skills, Siddharth Reddy is expected to strengthen the youth cadre across all districts, as per Jagan’s directive.
Similarly, Jagan has appointed Kakumanu Rajasekhar as the State Publicity Wing President and Shettipalli Raghu Rami Reddy as chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, with Reddy Shanti, Thaneti Vanitha, Kaile Anil and Y Vishweshwar Reddy as members.
It is learned that Jagan plans to finalize all party committee appointments in advance to strengthen the party's organizational framework.
Additionally, leadership changes at the state level will prioritize youth and active grassroots leaders, signaling a clear shift toward a more dynamic and future-ready party structure.
