Jagan to shift camp office to Vizag by Dasara?

Jagan to shift camp office to Vizag by Dasara?

There had been several speculations over YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy fixing muhurtams for shifting of the chief minister’s camp office from Tadepalli in Guntur district to the proposed executive capital Visakhapatnam.

But none of these speculations have come true so far, even as there were reports that the authorities have been making hectic preparations for the chief minister’s camp office in Visakhapatnam.

Though legally, there is no hurdle in Jagan operating from Visakhapatnam, for some reason or the other, he has not been able to move to the port city.

Now, there are reports once again in a section of media that Jagan has finally decided to move to Visakhapatnam by coming Dasara festival in October.

He would be vacating the camp office at Tadepalli and operating from Visakhapatnam for the rest of his term, irrespective of the cases on the three capitals issue in the court.

According to these reports, Jagan is also contemplating shifting the head office of the state YSRC to Visakhapatnam by Dasara.

“Apparently, he wants to focus on the party activities as well. He realised that he has been neglecting party work all these years and that led to the gap between him and the party cadre,” the reports said.

It is learnt Jagan wants to dedicate at least two days a week to the party activities. He would be interacting with district-level party leaders one after the other, besides MLAs, to understand the ground realities.

“He would work out field-level strategies in consultation with them, so that there would be no hiccups by the next elections,” a party source said.
