The YSR Congress party has announced that party president and former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will plunge into action after his return from the Europe tour in the last week of January and reach out to the people to expose the failures of the Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.
According to party sources, Jagan will hold meetings with party workers starting at the end of this month. These meetings will occur three days a week, focusing on assembly and parliamentary constituencies.
A schedule is being finalized, and district committees, along with constituency coordinators, will be appointed.
Jagan plans to intensify state-level political campaigns and engage directly with the public. Jagan has emphasized giving priority to party workers.
Party sources said Jagan will kickstart his state-wide tours starting with the Rayalaseema districts. The tours will continue despite the commencement of the budget session of the state assembly in February end or March.
By the time these district visits conclude, grassroots-level party appointments for all constituencies will be completed.
Simultaneously, the YSRCP will take up protests all over the state on various issues, including fee reimbursement for students.
The protest demanding the release of pending dues for students has been postponed twice, with a new schedule directing students to submit petitions at district collector offices, sources said.
