Jagan to intensify public outreach campaign

Even as the YSR Congress party MLAs and ministers are engaged in “Gadapa Gadapaku Prabhutvam” programme aimed at taking the government programmes to the doorstep of the voters, party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy came up with yet another innovative public outreach programme ahead of next year assembly polls.

Jagan on Monday announced the launch of “Jagan anna ye mana bhavishyathu” (Only Jagan anna is our future), starting March 18.

It will go on for a week till March 26 and will be a regular programme, aimed at seeking the blessings of the people in the next elections again for their better future.

Jagan, who addressed an extended party meeting attended by MLAs, minsters, regional and district coordinators of the party and district party presidents, called upon 5.6 lakh party secretariat convenors and “Gruha Saradhis” to take up the new campaign to the every household.

He said the party workers would visit the 1.65 crore households during the campaign visiting door-to-door, spending time with families and explaining the welfare programmes being implemented by the state government.

“They should in explain to the people how the government is providing a transparent administration and taking the state forward with development compared to the previous Telugu Desam Party rule,” he told them.

Jagan asked the party secretariat convenors with the five lakh door-to-door campaigners who have already been appointed in almost all the districts. The remaining campaigners would be appointed by February 16, he said.

“The first batch of party convenors and campaigners in 387 blocks has been completed while the training for the second batch would be held from February 14 to 19,” he said.

He asked the MLAs to participate in the training camps and motivate the party convenors and campaigners and take up party programmes at the field level when the training is completed.

He asked the district party presidents, MLAs and constituency observers to work in unison and bring victory to the party candidates in the forthcoming MLC elections being held for graduates’ and teachers’ constituencies.
