Jagan to give permission for Nellore medicine?

The Andhra Pradesh government led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to give permission to Ayurvedic practitioner B Anandaiah of Krishnapatnam village in Nellore district to distribute his now-popular “Nellore medicine” to the people to prevent Covid-19.

It was evident from the way the government extended police protection to Anandaiah.

Apparently, the team of experts from Ayush which conducted a series of tests on the medicine and the ingredients used in it, have reported that the medicine is safe and does not have any side effects.

It is learnt Anandaiah explained in detail how the ingredients used in the Nellore medicine would work and the method of its preparation.

The chemical analysis of the medicine also proved that there are no harmful products in it and the method of preparation was completely within the medical standards.

“A decision would be taken after directly watching the method of preparation and a report would be given to the government. If everything is alright, the government would make an official announcement on the Nellore medicine distribution,” sources said.

Meanwhile, Lok Ayukta will take up a suo motu inquiry into the Nellore medicine on May 31.

The Lok Ayukta served notices on the Nellore district officials to attend the inquiry by strictly following the Covid-19 protocol to present their version.
