Jagan to celebrate silver jubilee in Shimla, not Paris!

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary amidst snow-clad mountains of Himalayas in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

Earlier reports said Jagan along with his wife Bharati Reddy would be leaving for Europe to celebrate the silver jubilee of his wedding in Paris on August 28.

But the latest reports said he had changed his plans in view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation in Europe.

According to official sources, Jagan would be leaving his Tadepalli residence in Amaravati at around 12.30 pm and fly from Gannavaram airport to Chandigarh. From there, he would be reaching Oberoi Hotel in Shimla by evening.

He would be spending his time in and around Shimla for three days.

It is not exactly known whether he would be celebrating his wedding silver jubilee in Shimla or Manali or any other places in the Himalayan state. Some reports said he might even fly to Dehradun for the celebrations.

The chief minister is expected to return to Vijayawada by August 29 evening.

As reported earlier, the trip would be purely personal and they would be incurring their personal expenditure on the trip.

The Shimla trip would definitely give the much needed break for Jagan from the hectic activity in running the government for the last two years.

He has not been able to find time to spend leisure time with the family ever since he took over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The only time Jagan and Bharati went out of the town was a couple of years ago to the US after getting their daughter admitted to the post-graduate college at Paris.

He even addressed the Telugu NRIs at Dallas in USA. After that, Jagan hardly stepped out of his house.
