YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is most likely to be sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on May 30, next Thursday.
According to sources close to the party, Jagan will be elected leader of the YSRC legislature party on May 25 at a meeting held at the party headquarters in Tadepalli.
Apparently, the YSRC chief called up Visakha Sarada Peetham seer Swamy Swaroopanandendra and took his blessings. He also consulted astrologers who had fixed auspicious murthuram on May 30.
He will hold a meeting of the party leaders prior to the TRS LP meeting to decide on the national and local leaders to be invited for the swearing-in ceremony and also to decide the venue.
Meanwhile, celebrations by the YSRC activists have already begun across the state and a festive atmosphere prevailed at the party headquarters at Tadepalli in Amaravati. Party leaders distributed sweets among themselves and the media persons.
