Jagan suffers sprain in leg, treated at Manipal Hospital

YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sudden visit to Manipal Hospital at Tadepalli on Friday surprised everybody.

According to sources, Jagan visit to the hospital to get treatment to his right leg which had swollen a bit due to sprain.

It is learnt Jagan received an injury to his leg, while he was doing exercises at his private gym at Tadepalli a couple of days ago.

“Jagan has ignored the sprain as he thought it was a small injury to the muscle. He had been attending his routine duties without any problem for the last two days. But as the pain aggravated and his right leg again showing signs of swelling, he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure,” sources said.

Orthopaedic doctors at the hospital, who examined him, conducted scanning of the injured leg, besides general check-up.

“He came to the hospital at 9.45 am and spent two hours in the hospital, before returning to his camp office.

Doctors at the Manipal Hospital said there was no internal injury to Jagan’s leg and that it was just a muscle sprain.

“But we had to do our duty. Apart from leg treatment, we also conducted other normal tests on the chief minister,” hospital sources said.

Soon after returning to the camp office, Jagan resumed his official duties immediately. He was reviewing the education department activities in the afternoon.
