Jagan, who made a comprehensive review of the Covid-19 situation in the state, ordered that the medical and health department take over more private hospitals in the state, thereby increasing the strength of the hospitals from 138 to 287.

This includes even smaller hospitals which have been included after strict scrutiny of the infrastructure among other things,  by the district authorities. The government is also providing these hospitals with the required staff wherever needed.

He also instructed that more doctors and specialists be appointed as soon as possible. In the 287 hospitals, all facilities should be available and medical staff should be present in the required number and the standards in the hospitals should be regularly monitored.

Covid Call Centres and Help Desks in hospitals should function efficiently. Hygiene should be maintained in the hospitals and nutritious food should be provided to the patients. Care should be taken for those who are in home quarantine and those coming under Aarogyasri should be taken care of well.

The hospitals should have the basic infrastructure and rating should be given as per the performance of the hospitals. Referral protocol should be followed and implemented from village and ward clinic level.
