Jagan Predicts TDP's Closure After 2024 Polls

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the opposition TDP is ready to shut down as people will not believe its plagiarized election manifesto, copied from other political parties.

During a massive public meeting in Palnadu on Monday, the Chief Minister expressed that his strength lies solely in the people and he does not rely on the support of other political parties.

"You are my courage and confidence. Unlike the TDP, which relies on the support of a gang of thieves and other political parties, I do not have the support of any political party. But I am not afraid because I have your support and the blessings of God," he confidently stated.

He accused TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu of failing to implement welfare schemes during the TDP rule, citing his lack of a generous heart.

"Due to his capitalist mentality, he deceived all sections of society, including women, farmers, SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, and EBCs, and never made an effort to implement welfare schemes that you are now experiencing," he explained.

The Chief Minister described Chandrababu Naidu as synonymous with backstabbing, conspiracy, cheating, and lies. He emphasized that Naidu has no accomplishments to his credit despite ruling the state for 14 years, which is why people will not believe him. He claimed that Naidu will cease to be relevant after the elections.

He further criticized Naidu for being anti-poor, stating that he does not want the poor to progress. The Chief Minister highlighted Naidu's opposition to English medium in schools and the distribution of tablets to students as examples.

"Naidu's nature is to make promises before elections and forget them after elections. Not a single area or section of society benefited during his rule," he asserted.

Questioning Naidu's timing, the Chief Minister pointed out that after 28 years of becoming Chief Minister and ruling for 14 years, Naidu is now making declarations on topics such as Rayalaseema, BCs, SCs, STs, minorities, and gas cylinders. He asked why Naidu did not make these declarations during the TDP rule.

"This is a battle between a government implementing direct benefit transfer (DBT) welfare schemes and the TDP, which has pursued a policy of plunder, stash, and devour. It is a battle between a pro-people government and a pro-capitalist TDP enjoying the support of foster son and friendly media," he observed.

Encouraging the people not to be misled by the TDP's vicious and malicious campaign and its friendly media, he urged them to become his soldiers and secure victory for the YSRCP in the next elections if they believe they have benefited from the government's welfare schemes.
