Known for his controversial comments on social media quite often, retired IPS officer and former director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) M Nageshwar Rao on Tuesday warned the Bharatiya Janata Party against the presence of moles of YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state unit of BJP.
In a post on X, Nageshwar Rao said till the other day, the BJP leaders and cadre in Andhra Pradesh have been very critical of the Telugu Desam Party and its top leadership.
“It is also not a secret that many leaders of the BJP have been coverts of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and they work/worked against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP; sometimes, even going to the extent of using expletives,” he pointed out.
The former CBI director wondered that now that the BJP has entered into electoral alliance with the TDP, how the AP BJP leaders/cadre will overcome their deep-rooted animosity against the TDP and snap their connection with Jagan.
“How they can work unitedly with the leaders and cadre of the TDP and Jana Sena Party for the success of all candidates of three parties is a formidable challenge,” he said.
Nageshwar Rao asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda to give strict warning to all the moles and agent saboteurs of Jagan in Andhra BJP, if NDA has to succeed by getting majority assembly and Lok Sabha seats.
“It is imperative for the BJP central leadership, especially Modi, Shah and Nadda to rein in these moles of Jagan in Andhra BJP and ask them to work wholeheartedly to ensure success of all NDA candidates of assembly and Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh,” the former CBI director said.
It may be mentioned that even former Narasapuram MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju also accused Somu Veerraju of being a mole of the YSRCP in the state BJP and stalling his chances of getting party ticket for Narasapuram LS seat.
