Jagan laid stone for Amaravati houses at bad time?

Has YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the 50,793 houses for weaker sections in the R-5 zone at Krishnayapalem village of the Amaravati capital region on July 24 at wrong time?

Well, the answer is according to a rumour doing rounds in the social media in the name of Brahmana Chaitanya Vedika on Thursday.

According to this organisation, the chief minister had laid the foundation stone for the housing project in the inauspicious muhurtham in inauspicious month of Adhika Sravanam.

“It is a Sunya Masam, which prohibits ground-breaking ceremonies, house-warming functions, marriages and other such programmes. This will cause a negative impact on the owners of the properties and rulers,” the organisation said.

Not only did Jagan lay the foundation stone for the project, he had also made one of the beneficiaries perform gruha pravesam in the model house constructed in the village.

Perhaps that was the reason why the Jagan government received a setback in the high court, which granted stay on the constructions and passed negative comments on the project.

One wonders why the Vedic pundits, who performed the puja during the ground-breaking and house warming, did not follow the Adhika Masam norms and caution the chief minister?

Well, that is a right question!
