Jagan lacks credibility, says Balineni

Jagan lacks credibility, says Balineni

When YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was in power, all his party leaders, including MLAs and ministers used to describe him as a synonym for credibility, because he would implement whatever he had promised in his election manifesto.

These YSRCP leaders include former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy, who used to accuse Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of being a man without any credibility and a betrayer of people’s faith. They also used to accuse Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan of being an inconsistent politician.

But on Thursday, Balineni took a complete U-turn, after meeting Pawan Kalyan and getting the green signal to join the Jana Sena Party. He described Jagan as a man without any credibility.

“Jagan, who always talks about credibility in politics, has no such credibility. He has never given any due respect to 17 Congress MLAs, who deserted the party and joined the YSRCP in 2012,” he said.

The former minister refuted the reports in a section of media that he had blackmailed Jagan for posts and positions.

“I had faced several humiliations in the YSRCP, but I never thought of quitting the party,” he said.

Balineni said he had entered politics with the blessings of late Y S Rajaskhar Reddy.

“After YSR’s death, I quit my cabinet post and the MLA post to join hands with Jagan. But Jagan doesn’t have any gratitude towards those who sailed with him,” he said.

Stating that he doesn’t want to make any negative comments against the party which he had quit, Balineni said but if the YSRCP tries to malign him, he would have to expose everybody in the party.

Once a bitter critic of the TDP, Balineni declared that he had no qualms in working with the other alliance partners of the Jana Sena.
