Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Y S Sharmila once again launched a scathing attack on her brother and YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for speaking about character, integrity, credibility, and values in public life.
In a statement on Friday night, Sharmila criticized Jagan for accusing leaders who left his party of lacking credibility and character.
“Jagan delivers grand speeches about character, but he has forgotten what it truly means,” she said.
She alleged that her brother had pressured former MP V Vijay Sai Reddy to lie about YSR’s wishes regarding property disputes within their family.
“Though Sai Reddy refused to do so to protect his reputation, Jagan didn’t listen to him,” she claimed.
Quoting Sai Reddy’s recent confession to her, Sharmila said that Jagan had dictated lies, which Sai Reddy was forced to write down.
“This is the so-called character of Jagan Reddy! He even conspired to seize his own niece and nephew’s property,” she remarked.
Sharmila further accused Jagan and his wife of repeatedly lying about the property matter.
“They should sit before the Bible and introspect on their actions. Do they have the courage to face my children? You betrayed your own sister and her kids, yet you talk about morals? It’s as absurd as demons reciting scriptures. Jagan has no integrity or values,” she said.
She also claimed that Sai Reddy had revealed many difficulties he faced under Jagan’s leadership in the YSRCP.
“Sai Reddy disclosed several things about Jagan, but I will limit my statements to matters concerning my children. Jagan even filed a case against me, insisting that certain shares should belong to him and made Sai Reddy support his claims,” she alleged.
Continuing her criticism, Sharmila stated, “Jagan preaches ethics but never follows them. He used YSR’s name to gain power, only to betray his ideals. He once promised liquor prohibition, yet under his rule, alcohol has flowed freely. He has no values or credibility,” she added.
