Jagan had meeting with Cong leaders?

Did YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy hold a secret meeting with Congress leaders at his Bengaluru residence on Saturday night?

This claim was made by senior Telugu Desam Party leader and politburo member Varla Ramaiah, who stated that he had specific information about Jagan hosting a dinner for a few senior Congress leaders from Karnataka at his Bengaluru palace on Saturday.

Although Ramaiah did not name these Congress leaders, he alleged that Jagan's meeting was a desperate attempt to get closer to the Congress and eventually join the INDIA bloc.

"If Jagan has the guts, he should disclose what he discussed with the Congress leaders at his Bengaluru palace. It's clear he's trying to cozy up to the Congress and later join the INDIA bloc," Ramaiah said.

He recalled that Jagan had invited leaders of the INDIA bloc to his dharna in New Delhi recently. While some opposition leaders attended, the Congress stayed away, as they were not convinced of Jagan’s sincerity.

"Now, he's attempting to appease the Congress party," Ramaiah added.

The TDP leader also questioned why Jagan was insistent on obtaining a five-year passport to visit his daughter in London.

"If his intention is to visit London for just a few days, he should have accepted the court’s decision to grant him a one-year passport. Why is he insisting on a five-year passport?" Ramaiah asked.

He suggested that this raises suspicions that Jagan might not return from London in the near future or may even be planning to settle there, similar to Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi.
