Jagan Gives Rs 2 cr to MLAs, Rs 20 Lakh to Village Secretariats

As he is geared up for the next round of election with a target of 175 Assembly seats, chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the allocation of Rs 2 crore to each MLA to take up developmental works in their constituency.

The chief minister also announced the sanction of Rs 20 lakhs each to the village and ward secretariats in the state for the development works.

The chief minister held a brief meeting with the party MLAs on Monday, in the backdrop of the Presidential election.

He told the MLAs that at least 50 of them have no healthy relationship with the people in their constituency.

He found that 60 MLAs have not taken part in the Gadapa Gadapa ku Mana Prabhutvam progamme being held in the state.

While reiterating that he is not ready to be defeated even in a single Assembly seat, Jagan Mohan Reddy told them that he would not hesitate to deny ticket to those who fail to get peoples’ support.

He told them that he was having survey reports from all the 175 Assembly constituencies and said that the MLAs have 18 months on hand to change their attitude and go close to the people.

“I will watch you for 8 months. If you don’t change your approach and go closure to the people, I will not hesitate to change your candidature,” Jagan Mohan Reddy told them.
