Jagan completes 5 years, hopes to return again!

YSR Congress Party president and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy completed his full five-year term on Thursday.

It was exactly on May 30, 2019, that Jagan was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at a massive public event held at Indira Priyadarshini auditorium in Vijayawada.

Five years later, Jagan faces a challenging situation, with the results of the assembly elections set to be declared in four days.

Having earned a massive mandate of 151 out of 175 seats in the assembly, the YSRCP chief is keeping his fingers crossed over the election outcome.

Yet, he remains confident, at least to motivate the party cadres, expressing certainty that he will return to power with a better mandate than in 2019.

His party leaders, too, are quite confident, though not as optimistic as Jagan about the margin of victory.

“With God’s grace and the historic verdict given by the people, our party came to power on this day exactly five years ago. It has done good for every family, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, region, and politics,” Jagan tweeted, commenting on the completion of his five-year tenure.

“With the blessings of all sections of people, we are going to form the government again and shall continue to do good and forge ahead for the all-round development of the state,” he added.

Jagan, who will be returning to Tadepalli along with his wife Bharathi on Friday after completing his 15-day holiday in Europe, had a telephonic conversation with party seniors on Thursday.

According to party sources, Jagan reiterated that the YSRCP is going to come to power with a huge mandate, as he had predicted.

“Forget about the exit polls on June 1; the exact polls will be out on June 4, and they will be in our favor, as women and senior citizens have voted for YSRCP in large numbers,” party leaders quoted him as saying.
