Jagan calls for strengthening party at grassroots

At last, YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy appears to have realized the need to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, rather than running it from the top.

On Wednesday, Jagan held discussions with leaders from various associated wings of the party and announced plans to organize a workshop to train party leaders on coordination and grassroots-level organization.

Jagan emphasized the need for the YSRCP to strengthen its presence at the grassroots level.

He stated that the party's 24 associated wings are being activated to bolster the organizational structure.

“This will ensure that every party supporter and worker, from the village level to the state, plays a role in reinforcing the party’s foundation. The involvement of grassroots members is crucial for maintaining a strong and organized party capable of fighting future battles,” the party president said.

Jagan urged leaders to foster unity within the party and highlighted the importance of reaching out to every village, district, and community for more active engagement.

He reiterated his commitment to supporting party members who work hard and assured them that the party will stand by those who face setbacks while working for its cause.

During the meeting, Jagan criticized the TDP coalition government for its failure to manage key sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare. He specifically pointed out how the Naidu government mishandled the Vijayawada floods.

He stated that the government failed to assess the damage and provide fair compensation, instead favoring those with political connections.

Jagan condemned the use of diversionary tactics, accusing the government of filing false cases to divert attention from its failures.
