Jagan Adds One More To Advisors' List!

Jagan Adds One More To Advisors' List!

There have been reports that CM Y S Jagan would gradually do away with the posts of advisors to the government one after the other as he felt there has not been much benefit to the government from them.

The resignation of senior journalist K Ramachandra Murthy from the post of advisor (public policy) a couple of days ago lend credence to these reports. Apparently, Murthy was feeling uncomfortable in the post, as there was nothing for him to do in the government.

But surprisingly, the Jagan government appointed one more advisor on Thursday – he is Ambati Krishna Reddy from Kadapa district and he has been appointed as advisor to the government on agriculture-related issues.

Like all the other advisors, Krishna Reddy would also get the cabinet rank and he would continue in the post for a period of two years from the day he assumes office.

He would draw a gross salary of more than Rs 3 lakh, including basic pay of Rs 1,14,000, Rs 15,000 in the form of allowance, Rs 30,000 towards fuel bill, Rs 1 lakh towards house rent and all other benefits given to the cabinet ministers including medical reimbursement facility.

Besides, Krishna Reddy would also be paid Rs 25,000 towards security guards and Rs 6,000 for paying to the sweepers.

He would also get interest free loan or advance amount of Rs 10 lakh for purchasing a new car, Rs 50,000 for purchase of laptop or computer, Rs 3 lakh towards furniture and Rs 1,50,000 towards cutlery.

He would be allotted a private secretary, personal assistant and additional PA, three office subordinates, one jamadar, a driver and an additional driver.

He would also be given two telephone connections, including one with STD facility, free of cost.
