Telugu Desam Party MLA from Satyavedu constituency Koneti Adimoolam, who was suspended from the party on Thursday for his alleged sexual abusing of a woman colleague of the party, pleads innocence.
Speaking to a television channel, Adimoolam said it could be a morphed video created by his detractors to damage his political career.
“They trapped me by morphing the video and fixing me in the sexcapade,” he alleged.
The MLA suspected that it could be the role of some local TDP leaders to damage his reputation.
“I shall give an explanation to the party high command immediately and wait for their decision,” he said.
Interestingly, Adimoolam’s wife gave him a clean chit. She told the media that her husband had been suffering from illness for quite some time and he was incapable of doing such things.
“He never does such acts nor does he have the capacity to do it,” she said.
The MLA’s daughter also threw the blame on the YSR Congress party leaders for trapping her father.
She accused senior YSRCP leader and former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy of being the mastermind behind the morphed video.
