Stage is set for the eviction of Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu from his luxurious residence at Vundavalli on the banks of Krishna river.
On Saturday, officials of the General Administration Department threw out all the belongings to Naidu and his party from “Praja Vedika,” a meeting hall constructed by the previous government just adjacent to his residence.
The hall was being used by the TDP chief to meet people, listen to their grievances and collect representations from them, when he was the chief minister.
Now that the new government was formed in Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, it has decided to take over the meeting hall.
On Friday, the officials completely took over Praja Vedika stating that it would be used for the Collector’s Conference to be held on Monday.
The sudden decision comes at a time when Naidu is in Europe on a vacation along with his family and his application seeking to retain the Praja Vedika for meeting the people and his party leaders was still pending with the chief minister’s office.
Already, the YSRC leaders have made an application to the chief secretary asking for possession of Praja Vedika for holding regular Praja Darbar by Jagan.
And if the government takes a decision in their favour and if Jagan feels it convenient for the meetings, he will be coming there regularly as it is closer to his residence as well as Secretariat.
This would cause a lot of inconvenience for Naidu, who stays adjacent to Praja Vedika. In the coming days, Naidu might be asked to vacate the residence as well citing security threat for Jagan.
So, it is time Naidu searches for a new residence!
