The Gannavaram Constituency has recently been frequently in the news. Vallabhaneni Vamsi won on behalf of TDP from Gannavaram but later switched sides and supported Chief Minister YS Jagan.
He is now standing on behalf of YCP in the upcoming elections, which has caused TDP leaders to lash out at him.
Chandrababu and Lokesh are determined to defeat Vallabhaneni Vamsi in the upcoming elections, particularly since Vamsi made inappropriate comments about Lokesh's birth.
TDP wants to field a strong candidate against Vamsi, and MLC Bachula Arjuna was initially appointed as in-charge. However, Arjuna recently passed away due to a heart attack.
As a result, TDP has appointed former MP Konakalla Narayana as the Gannavaram coordinator, but they have realized that he is not a strong enough candidate to face Vamsi.
It is rumored that Chandrababu plans to field Telugu Youth State General Secretary Devineni Chandrasekhar, also known as Chandu, as the candidate against Vamsi.
Chandu is the cousin of YCP youth leader Devineni Avinash and is known to be a methodical leader with close ties to Lokesh.
Vamsi has a strong connection with the people of Gannavaram and has earned a good reputation as a public servant. However, TDP and the pro-party media have portrayed him as a bully.
It remains to be seen how well Chandu will fare against Vamsi in the upcoming elections.
