Is Anti-Jagan Feeling Coming Down Slowly?

There is strong anti-Jagan feeling among the top class people who represent the industry, business and films – most of them belong to one particular caste in the Telugu states.

The business houses have not come to Andhra Pradesh after Jagan’s victory and Babu’s defeat in the 2019 elections.

There used to be high profile industrialists visiting Andhra Pradesh in teams between2014 and 2019.

There were three investment meets held in Visakhapatnam, which boasted of brining several thousands of crores of rupees investment, though nothing happened in reality.

But, they have stopped visiting the state, mostly because they don’t like Jagan Mohan Reddy as the chief minister.

There were several Telugu film actors visiting Andhra Pradesh and giving special appearances in any special meeting during Naidu’s tenure.

They are missing these days, because a good number of them belong to a particular caste that hates Jagan Mohan Reddy as leader and refuses to accept him as chief minister.

Now, two-and-a-half years later, there is some soul searching among the industrial and business houses, particularly those who don’t share the political and social connections with the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu.

“The resistance and hate feeling towards Jagan that was visible before 2019 and the initial months of 2020, is not seen these days,” committed a senior diplomat, who keeps meeting representatives of the government, political parties and industrialists.

“I find others, mostly those who don’t share the political ideology with the TDP, are coming to terms with Jagan. They don’t hate him as much as they used to in the initial days of Jagan’s rule. They even think that they were misled to hate Jagan,” he observed.

If this is so, the industrial sections will start standing in queues at Jagan Mohan Reddy’s office, ready for investments, accepting the incentives his dispensation is offering.
