Inundation threat to Naidu house facing again!

TDP president and former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu’s residence on “karakatta” (river bank) of Krishna river at Vundavalli in Amaravati is facing threat of inundation in floods again.

The revenue authorities served notices on Naidu on Tuesday afternoon after receiving inputs from the irrigation department that there is going to be heavy floods in the river by evening and there is every possibility that all the constructions on the river bank on either side of Prakasam barrage might get submerged.

Apart from Naidu, owners of another 36 constructions on the river bank were served notices, sending warning signals about the submergence of their properties. The authorities told them to move to safer places, as there is no option because of floods.

The authorities warned that there might be six lakh cusecs of water into the river by evening and therefore, those who are staying on the river banks should move out.

This is the second time in the last three weeks that Naidu was served notices from the revenue authorities to vacate the house.

However, Naidu is presently staying in Hyderabad along with the family and the house keeping staff might have to take precautions to shift the belongings to safer places.
