Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s family is now terribly concerned about his health condition within the four walls of Rajahmundry jail.
His wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari alleged that there was water contamination in the jail and the overhead tanks are not being cleaned, as a result of which Naidu was forced to take bath with polluted water.
She even alleged that Naidu had lost five kg of weight in a span of one month and is worried that if he continued in jail, it would affect the health condition a lot.
Even Naidu’s daughter in law Nara Brahmani, too, expressed the same concern.
But YSR Congress party leaders have rejected these allegations outright.
“How can Naidu lose weight, when he has been given access to home food and water? Jail authorities say he is absolutely healthy. Don’t create unnecessary panic,” YSRC general secretary and parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy said.
He pointed out that several ministers and MLAs had spent jail life in the past but nobody made such silly complaints.
“No party leader stooped so low like Atchannaidu to make wild allegations. There is no threat to Naidu’s life in jail. He is hale and hearty in jail. Don’t make baseless allegations to please somebody,” Sai Reddy said.
