Prominent Dalit leader and former Amalapuram MP G V Harsha Kumar, who made a desperate attempt to join the Telugu Desam Party a couple of years ago and was one of the biggest critics of YSR Congress party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the last, changed his tune.
On Tuesday, Harsha Kumar launched a scathing attack on TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, saying his predecessor Jagan was far better than him and that Naidu should learn from Jagan how to govern the state.
Harsha Kumar said after serving as the chief minister for 15 years, it has become a habit for Naidu to make false promises to return to power.
He accused Naidu of misleading people in 2014 by promising to waive farm loans, despite Jagan stating that it was not possible.
He alleged that Naidu failed in key areas such as building the state capital, securing special status, the railway zone, and the Visakhapatnam steel plant, and ultimately left Andhra Pradesh as an ineffective chief minister until 2019.
He further criticized Naidu for abandoning the common capital project due to the "Cash-for-Vote" scandal and misleading people with graphics of Amaravati as the capital.
Harsha Kumar praised Jagan's administration for effectively implementing welfare schemes over the past five years, contrasting it with Naidu's alleged failures.
Highlighting Naidu's unfulfilled promises, Harsha Kumar questioned his credibility as a leader, urging people to reflect on why Naidu failed to execute welfare programs during his tenure.
He alleged that Naidu's government incurred debts while neglecting major projects like the Polavaram project and the state capital.
Kumar called for legal action against Naidu for misleading people with false promises and urged the public to demand accountability from him.
