Some people bring glory to their places, families or the caste. Likewise, some bring shame. This is what is happening in Andhra Pradesh these days.
ABN Andhra Jyothi chief Vemuri Radha Krishna (RK) had emerged as the sole representative of the entire Kamma caste and the opposition TDP, particularly after the 2019 elections.
While the TDP was in power, RK swallowed the state exchequer by blackmailing Chandrababu Naidu.
He had even advised Naidu to drop NTR’s name from Arogya Sri and other schemes just before the elections and it shows his knowledge levels and his command over the TDP and Naidu.
After the TDP’s defeat, most of the Kammas are feeling uncomfortable even to accept Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister.
The attitude of the Kammas in the last five years in Amaravati, a clear replication of Hyderabad’s Kukatpally, had distanced every caste from Kammas, which was seen in the 2019 elections.
The same feeling continues among every other caste against Kammas, thanks to the championship of persons like RK, whose brain is half-baked.
RK and a few media houses in AP, which are known loyalists and supporters of the TDP and owned by the TDP supporters, are the true reason for the people to distance and hate Kammas in the State.
The continuous misinformation campaign against AP government by the Kamma-owned media has emerged as a reason for the entire community to feel ashamed and their image is lowered every day.
The Kamma community in AP should disown half-baked RK at the earliest to protect its image being further lowered or eroded.
The language that he uses in his paper and TV channel in every news and every column exposes his ignorance and arrogance, both harmful for the survival of any party or social group. His writings week after week make his own caste men fools and rivals to others.
This week RK tried to give an impression that the AP government is not paying bills for the Kamma contractors and it is not respecting the Kamma officers.
This statement indicates that RK too has some dues to be cleared by the government for the contracts he had enjoyed during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime and the eyesore is for this.
He cited the examples of State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and AP Public Service Commission chairman Pinnamaneni Udaya Bhaskar.
But he conveniently ignored the fact that the two officers did not follow the rule book while discharging their duties leading to head on collision with the government.
He also tried to mislead the people through the column that the Election Commission of India had transferred the chief electoral officer besides the DGP and CS in 2019 general election, which was wrong. The chief electoral officer was not transferred.
RK had also conveniently made an attempt to say that the SEC and Chief Electoral Officers are one and the same!
The values that he has and the knowledge that he possess are questionable and can be enough to keep him at distance by the entire community for its pride.
